The Close Encounters design is from Volume 23 of Dave's Picks, a series of limited release triple-disc live albums from the group. It pictures a detailed sketch of eight skeletons gathered around a campfire, one for each of the touring band members in 1978 when the live concert on the album was performed. Some of these characters are strumming their instruments while the others are welcoming the incoming spaceship from above.

Dab mats provide a padded cushion to safely rest your glass pieces on. Made from shock-absorbent rubber, it also has a screen-printed fabric top to prevent any scratches or slipping.
